Regulations for Crossing the Georgian Border in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic

Entry rules for COVID-19 vaccinated visitors

National of any country, with full course (two doses) of any COVID-19 vaccination (one dose in case of Johnson & Johnson), traveling from any country may enter Georgia under following conditions:

By air

- shall present the document confirming the full course of any COVID-19 vaccination;
- does not require PCR test;
- does not require pre-registration;

By land and sea

- shall present the document confirming the full course of any COVID-19 vaccination;
- all visitors, except for children under 12 years old, must have a negative PCR test done no more than 72 hours before entering the country;
- does not require pre-registration;
Attention! Different rules apply to any person traveling from the Republic of India (regardless of citizenship and full course of vaccination) as well as persons with a history of travel to India during the last 14 days. They shall present a negative PCR test conducted in the last 72 hours prior to the visit to Georgia at the border and then undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine, at their own expense.
*PCR examination certificate must be in Georgian, English or Russian.


Entry rules for non-vaccinated visitors

Citizens and residence permit holders of the following states may enter Georgia by air, land and sea under the conditions mentioned below:
European Union Member States, State of Israel, Republic of Turkey, Swiss Confederation, Kingdom of Norway, United States of America, Canada, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrein, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, People’s Republic of China, Japan, Republic of Korea, The Sultanate of Oman, Republic of San Marino, Principality of Monaco, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Iceland, Principality of Liechtensteinl, Montenegro, Principality of Andorra, Republic of Albania, Republic of Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Republic of Iraq, Lebanese Republic

- Before crossing the state border, they must complete the special application form, indicating the travel history of the last 14 days, contact details (address, phone number, email etc.) https://registration.gov.ge/pub/form/8_protocol_for_arrivals_in_georgia/tk6157/
- all visitors, except for children under 12 years old, must have a negative PCR test done no more than 72 hours before entering the country;
- On the 3rd day of their stay, they are obliged to undergo PCR-examination at their own expense;
